november 1, 2015 reuven, yaakov’s eldest son has qualities of both fire and water, a paradoxical synergy, powerful and versatile with traits of movement, growth and even life itself. often associated with mandrakes, reuven found these fertility plants in the field and presented them to his mother leah. exquisitely capturing the enigma, the cool stream portrays the fiery reflection of the sun, while the orange and red sun depicts the colours of the tribe’s banner and the warmth of reuven’s gemstone, ruby. with flexibility and the ability to flow like water as his strength, reuven was not suited for the stability of solid leadership. the rising sun reflected in the stream represents a new beginning for reuven’s descendants. |
